Blue Tansy
Tanacetum annuum

Blue tansy essential oil from Tanacetum annuum is distinguished by its intense azure colour, caused by chamazulene formed during steam distillation from the colourless precursor matricine. Beyond chamazulene, the oil contains camphor, alpha-pinene, bornyl acetate, and limonene, and has demonstrated potent antifungal activity against Fusarium oxysporum, the agent responsible for bayoud disease in date palms.[1]
