Broom absolute comes from the yellow flowers of Spanish broom. It smells intensely of honey and hay, sweet enough to be cloying on its own. It takes an enormous quantity of flowers to make a little, so it is rare and expensive, and used in traces. Perfumers reach for it to add a warm, sunlit sweetness that other florals cannot give. There is no published research on the absolute itself, so nothing here is a health claim.
