Galbanum
Ferula galbaniflua

Galbanum oil (Ferula gummosa) is characterised by high levels of monoterpene hydrocarbons — principally beta-pinene (up to 60%), sabinene, and myrcene — alongside the characteristic green-note pyrazines. It has been used in traditional medicine for centuries, and its constituents show antifungal and insect-repellent activity.[1] The sharp, green-balsamic aroma makes it a valued fixative in perfumery.[2]
