Yuzu

Citrus junos

Yuzu essential oil

Yuzu peel oil (Citrus junos), cold-pressed, is dominated by limonene (~65-70%), gamma-terpinene, beta-pinene, and linalool, with yuzu-specific minor terpenes contributing its distinctive floral-citrus aroma. Limonene isolated from yuzu oil has demonstrated in vitro anti-inflammatory activity, suppressing eosinophil degranulation at relevant concentrations.[1] Human inhalation trials show that yuzu fragrance significantly reduces negative mood states and lowers salivary chromogranin A, a sympathetic stress biomarker.[2]
